This is the fourth alternative dining experience that I have put together with Ryan and Dylan at New York Vintners. The previous three have been great nights with incredible food and wine served seated plated at an amazing price point. If you are around this Memorial Day please join us for another brilliant evening…we can even hang out in the studio after!

Tickets are $125 per person for five Courses paired with five wines and can be purchased online HERE

Who turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with a former student, with the aim of securing his family’s financial future before he dies. I see the inspiration to cook five courses of amazing Tex-Mex  fare and let Dylan sort out some brilliant wine pairings for a great seated plated dinner at New York Vintners…I guess I am different that way”

I am a supporter of the charity Hour Children and all the good work the founder, Sister Tesa, does. I am pleased to announce that I have helped to organise, alongside Julie Marder and the Board of Directors of Hour Children, an evening event at New York Vintners. There will be great wine and great food from Chef Ryan Smith and the room will be decorated with all of my latest artwork. I even re-imagined my Mother and Child painting to adorn the invitations. It will be a great night and all the proceeds will go to support Mother Tesa and her Hour Children charity.

I am proud to announce that the ‘Moose’ has been sold. My friend has found himself a great home in Vermont (of all places..ha ha) Have no fear though “The Moose” will be available as a limited edition work on Arches paper. Which I am really excited about.

Artist Jason Oliva Blurs Line Between Precious Originals and Authentic Remakes

In the world of art, originals are superlatively precious, but the reproductions in Jason Oliva’s [Works on Paper] show challenges the definition of the cherished authentic.

For the exhibit, Oliva trades in the typical printers for the same paints used in the canvas masterpieces—and repaints each paper artwork by hand. This means that not only are the reproductions as vibrant as the original, they’re also a real-life manifestation of the same creative energy that engendered the paintings. And just like the real thing, the paper editions are dressed with the ever-valuable artist’s signature.

The artist likens his reproductions to traditional limited edition prints, but with more individuality and personal character. They then become as precious as the originals, in the sense that they are also one-of-a-kind. “Because each of these works are hand-painted, not one work is the same,” Oliva said.

These prints will be showcased at Downtown John Allans in New York City, alongside a selection of the Jason Oliva [Jewelry] and Jason Oliva [Sculpture] collections. To celebrate the show, the artist will be hosting a party at the club on March 28 at 7:30pm.

Hello Everyone!

Hope you are all doing well. I just wanted to get a quick message out to everyone to save the date Thursday March 29th (7:30).

I am having a party to celebrate my [Works on Paper] show at Downtown John Allans. I know many of you you have attended art shows I have had at John Allans in the past so it will be fun to go all the way back to where it started!(in the year 2000)

I am really proud of my new works on paper and how well they are being  received. Alongside these works,  I am hoping to  have some jewellery and sculpture on display, coupled with a surprise large scale oil painting, all of which will be available  for purchase.
